Lula Lilly, Age:92

Lula Lilly, of Desoto, Tx, passed away on July 2, 2025. Lula was born on May 29, 1933 in Liberty, TX. She completed undergrad and graduate school at Prairie View A&M University, where she met Dwight M. Lilly, Jr. After both graduated, they were married and became the parents of daughter, Karen, and son Dwight III, who preceded her in death. Lula lived in West Memphis, AR and taught in Shelby County public schools for 50 years before retiring and returning to Texas to be closer to family.
 
She was predeceased by her husband, Dwight M. Lilly, Jr., son Dwight M. Lilly III, father Andrew Rollins, and mother, Millie Rollins. 
 
She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter, Karen Nelson, grandsons, Dwight Nelson and Daniel McLean, granddaughters, Nichol Traylor and April Taylor, great-grands, Deonte, Kaiya, Desmond, Collin, Carter, Chloe, Jace, Kayce, and Melea, sisters and brothers, along with a host of family and friends.
 
To honor our very dear mother/grandma’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to please privately celebrate Lula Lilly’s memory in your own ways. We know that she will be with us all in spirit. Thank you for your prayers and understanding during this difficult time.
