November 27, 1936 – August 7, 2025
Our beloved Barbara June Stermer went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 7, 2025. She was comforted by her family, friends and numerous caregivers in the final days and hours of her journey.
Barbara had acquired many endearing names including BJ, Barbie Doll, Granny B, and Mama B over the years. She was resilient in spirit yet tender in heart. She had an unwavering love and commitment for her family.
She was a devoted mother to David Stermer (wife Christine). She was a treasured grandmother to Grant Stermer and a precious great grandmother to Gabriella Stermer.
Barbara’s smile, heart and essence will be deeply missed. She will dwell in the hearts of many.
A farewell service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM (CST) at First Baptist Church Prosper, located at 601 S. Church Street, Prosper, TX 75078. A fellowship gathering will follow the service.
