Hoy Junior Davis, II, Age:60

Hoy Junior Davis II, age 60 of Corinth, Texas passed on February 8, 2026, after battling early onset Alzheimer’s since 2018.

Born on April 12, 1965, to Hoy Junior Davis, Sr. & Carnie Flanery Davis and growing up in a military household, Hoy grew up all over the United States. He attended Rider High School in Wichita Falls where he graduated in 1983. Hoy met the love of his life Traci Russell at Rider High School and together, they built a life full of adventures, travel, and a beautiful family with two daughters, Bailey and Tatum. Hoy and Traci married October 11, 1986, after being high school sweethearts. Hoy joined the Army in 1985 and served for 10 years as an Electronic Technician and worked in communications. He was a combat veteran and deployed to Kuwait in Operation Desert Storm in 1991 where he was a squad leader and received a commendation medal for his diligent actions during one of the largest tank battles since WWII. His actions helped the unit receive the Valorous Unit Award (equivalent to the Silver Star) for his service during that battle. While in the military Hoy was stationed in Washington state, Germany and Washington, DC in the White House Communications where he was selected to serve the President and Vice President. Hoy worked for FEMA and traveled to many disaster zones to help in the last part of his career in the civilian world. He had to retire early due to his diagnosis. He and Traci enjoyed traveling all over Europe and the world while stationed in Germany and loved going anywhere there was water and a beach. Hoy was a lifelong boater and fisherman and loved being on the water with his family. When not on the water, Hoy enjoyed playing the role of coach to his daughters on their respective softball teams. He was a talented woodworker as well. Hoy loved his family most of all in life. He was a man of boundless energy, and he loved his roles as Dad and Papa to Beau and Remi most of all.

Hoy was predeceased by his parents, and sisters, Teresa Foster and Sheryll Tennant. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Traci and his daughters, Bailey (Jayson) and Tatum (Brendan) and his grandson Beau and granddaughter, Remi. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Mace of West Virginia as well as his brother-in-law, Jay Russell who was a loyal caregiver at the end of his life.

There will be a family trip to spread his ashes at a later date. No funeral services

What a loss. I loved him. Loved his voice. I can hear it now. Mostly I loved how he loved you Traci. He adored you and his girls. Not fair that he is the 3rd nephew I have lost. He was always there when people needed him. Whatever you needed he made it happen. Bless him. May he sleep peacefully with the Angels. May he see the face of God and feel cherished .
